About Us

Our journey began in 1934, when a small group of employees at the Fulton Bellows Plant in Knoxville needed a safe place to deposit, save, and borrow money. Forty-two employees came together with $525.00 in assets and chartered Fulton Credit Union.

Throughout the years, American Zinc Credit Union, Kerns Bakery Credit Union, and Tennessee Grange Credit Union merged, creating a larger community of members. In 2003, our name changed to reflect our commitment to the community, and we became First Choice Community Credit Union.

Over 90 years later, that commitment has allowed First Choice Community Credit Union to continue growing and serving the East Tennessee community. We are close to 5000 members strong with over 36 million dollars in assets. The Credit Union is available to anyone who lives, works, worships or attends school in Knox, Blount, Sevier, and Jefferson County.
